Teaching Material Enhancement: We are actively working on updating our teaching materials to ensure they reflect the latest industry developments and best practices.
Certification Standards Compliance: Our team is diligently verifying the correct implementation of the most recent certification standards to maintain the highest quality of our programs.
Examiner Course Revision: We are updating and refining our Examiner course to provide the most up-to-date and comprehensive training for our instructors.
Past Accomplishments
EFNARC’s Nozzle Operator Certification Scheme was introduced in 2009 and endorsed by the International Tunnelling and Underground Space Association (ITA). EFNARC trained and certified Examiners manage the assessment of individual, experienced Nozzle Operators who, after successfully passing the assessment, are awarded an EFNARC Nozzle Operator Certificate. Since 2019, EFNARC also offers training to novice operators. To date, more than 700 individuals have been certified.
Since January 2023, the Nozzle Operator Certificate obligatorily includes Virtual-Reality “VR” technology for training and assessment. Using this technology is efficient, cost-effective, and above all ensures a safe training environment.
Future Plans
International Accreditation: To further enhance the credibility of the certification program, EFNARC is working towards gaining international accreditation/endorsement from relevant bodies. This will make the certification even more valuable for operators worldwide.
Online Learning Platform: Developing an online learning platform will make training more accessible to a global audience. This platform will offer a range of courses, from basic certification to advanced training.
Safety Initiatives: Given the emphasis on safety, EFNARC is planning to launch safety initiatives aimed at promoting best practices within the industry. This could involve conducting safety audits or organizing safety workshops and conferences.
Collaboration Opportunities
Expand the Examiners´ Pool: Become a Nozzle Operator Examiner to broaden the reach of our Examiner course. Your diverse expertise and perspectives are enriching the EFNARC training experience.
Become a Simulator Provider: We are seeking to extend accreditation to a greater number of simulator providers. This will enhance our trainees´ accessibility to cutting-edge training tools and technologies.
Global Outreach: We are seeking to collaborate with international organizations hosting Examiner Training beyond Europe to promote a truly global presence and accessibility to certification programs.
