EFNARC’s Nozzle Operator Certification Scheme was introduced in 2009 and endorsed by the International Tunnelling and Underground Space Association (ITA). EFNARC trained and certified Examiners manage the assessment of individual, experienced Nozzlemen who, after successfully passing the assessment, are awarded an EFNARC Nozzle Operator Certificate. Since 2019, EFNARC also offers training to novice nozzlemen. To date, over 500 individuals have been certified.
NOZZLE OPERATOR CERTIFICATE
Given the fast development of modern robotic spraying equipment and new purpose-tailored mix design, the EFNARC Nozzle Operator Certificate offers a standardized qualification framework that combines both training and assessment for both novice and experienced nozzlemen, responding to the needs of the industry. The certificate is obtained after attending and passing the 5-day course and handing in proof of minimum 40 days robotic spraying experience.
EXAMINER CERTIFICATE
The certificate is aimed towards shotcrete operators with at least five years experience who want to become examiners, rather than nozzlemen. The certificate can be obtained after attending and passing the Examiner course. The course is currently held twice per year by the organisation CUC at Hagerbach Test Gallery in Flums, Switzerland.
