EFNARC is a not-for-profit organisation founded in 1989 and comprises company members and associate members from Europe, the Americas, Asia and Australasia. Our current focus is underground construction technology, particularly in relation to sprayed concrete having launched the Nozzle Operator Certification Scheme in September 2009. More recently, EFNARC has also taken the initiative to enhance the expertise of TBM pilots.

EFNARC is the Authoritative Voice of Contractors, Manufacturers, Raw Material Suppliers and Consultants in the Specialised Construction and Concrete Systems Industry.
to promote the general interests and develop thereof the industry in the field of specialised construction and concrete systems
to continually raise the technical and professional standards of the industry by producing technical specifications, guidelines, checklists, training and certification;
to provide the common voice of the industry to make known its position and views to international recognised standardisation bodies, industry associations and governmental bodies;
to represent the common views and interests of contractors, manufacturers, and consultants in the appropriate forums;
to encourage liaison between members and to provide: a forum for discussion of common problems or opportunities;
to cooperate with related international organisation; in pursuing these aims and objectives.
EFNARC is committed to supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly the following:
Goal 4: Providing a recognized training program for the construction industry worldwide.
Goal 9: Promoting resilient infrastructure through the use of sprayed concrete, a key focus of EFNARC.
Goal 11: Encouraging sustainable practices within the construction industry through EFNARC's training methods and Focus Groups.
Goal 12: Utilizing a simulator for nozzle operator training significantly reduces the overall use of shotcrete during training. Additionally, a trained nozzle operator minimizes shotcrete waste (rebound).
Goal 17: Global partnerships are key to EFNARC. Our members come from all over the world and across the construction industry, enhancing our global outreach and strength.
EFNARC - Governance
The General Assembly which establishes EFNARC policies and strategies;
approves the annual budget and membership of the Association;
elects the President;
appoints the Secretary and other officers of the Association and;
appoints the Executive Committee - the Executive Committee implements the policies and strategies established by the General Assembly.
